A thirteen year old boy is a talented pianist. However his life falls apart when his mother dies, and his father prohibits him from studying the piano further. His attempts to do so anyway at school fall foul of the school bully. However he perserveres, finding creative ways to develop his talent, but even that leads to tragedy.
