This was supposed to be the start of a new franchise for Johnny, but after it famously bombed during its US run, I'm not sure that there will be a sequel. Curiously, the US version was rated R (i.e. 16) but our version is only PG10-12 so we may have a different cut. Depp plays the titular Mortdecai, a debonair art dealer and part time rogue who has to juggling some angry Russians, the British MI5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, traversing the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumoured to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
