Barbie in Princess Power

Barbie in Princess Power
Barbie finally gets promoted from the small screen to the multiplexes, with a storyline which pays homage to Spider-Man. She stars as Kara (which Mattel has trademarked, believe it or not), a modern-day princess with an everyday life. One day, after being kissed by a magical butterfly, she discovers she has amazing super powers allowing her to transform into Super Sparkle, a superhero fighting against evil. Unfortunately, her envious cousin gets hold of the magical butterfly and turns into Dark Sparkle, the evil counterpart of Super Sparkle. This sets the scene for the battle royale between the two ladies... until they discover a greater enemy and have to work together for the survival of the Kingdom. This film appears to be going straight to disk in the USA, while having theatrical releases in some other markets.
