This is the followup to Horrible Bosses from 2011, which must have done well enough for the suits to greenlight this sequel. Fed up with answering to higher-ups, our three heroes decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business. However a slick investor soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, they hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor's adult son and ransom him to regain control of their company. The masses have given this a much higher approval rating than the professional critics.
