The followup to Dolphin Tale is, like the first episode, based on true events. The dolphin (Winter) has been living in the aquarium with her mother for several years. Unfortunately mom had to pass on, leaving her daughter behind. US regulations forbid dolphins, as social animals, from being housed alone. The team are faced with a deadline for finding a companion for Winter, or losing her forever.
