The Marvel moneymaking juggernaut continues with the latest batch of superheroes hitting the big screen. A brash adventurer finds himself the target of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade this baddie, our hero is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate (and wanted for assorted crimes) misfits. When they discover the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, the five of them put up a last, desperate stand, with the fate of the galaxy depending on the outcome.
