After two years of dating, a young man wants to marry his girlfriend, but he needs to get her brother's permission first. The brother, who is a cop, does not think much of him, as he is a video-game-playing underachiever, and so specifies a condition. The two of them will spend 24 hours on patrol in the city, which the cop hopes will expose the suitor's weak spots and chase him off. However, when they find themselves entangled with a notorious drug lord, all skills present are needed to save the day. The film has failed to impress the critics but has been a surprising crowd-pleaser at the US box office.
