Set in the shadowy world of government-orchestrated plots, this trial drama focuses on the trial of the alleged mastermind of a public bombing in England. He has two lawyers defending him, one for the public trial, and the other for the secret trial. They lawyers have a secret of their own... they were lovers who parted on bad terms. As the trial progresses they realise the need to work together, especially when they start to suspect that all is not what it seems, and that their lives may be in danger.
State treachery and duplicity and the abuse of state power supposedly for national interests from the main themes of this thriller. Themes are mature and complex, as is the plot but the overall impact is age appropriate at 10-12 with parental guidance providing appropriate explanation ad clearing for plot complexity.
