A high-flying music producer's life falls to pieces when he is caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Almost reduced to living in the gutter, his life takes a turn for the better when he discovers a young singer with real talent, and gets the chance to manage his career. Things go well for a while until a young woman is found dead in the singer's hotel room.
