Set in 2022, when America has come up with a unique and bizarre plan to deal with their terrible crime problem. The solution is simply to make crime legal for 12 hours, and let people kill whoever they think deserves killing. (Only Hollywood could come up with an idea like that.) One family takes in a homeless person, whom the crowds outside want to kill. The family decides to make a stand to defend their guest... will they make it through the night?

One a year every citizen has the right to purge whoever they deem worthy of being purged, that is till you get a family like the Sandins who realise that everything is not as black and white as it appears to be.
