The film came to public attention when it was banned on the day it was due to premiere at the Durban International Film Festival. Unbanned after appeal (although it may still end up being banned), it has been given a hasty big-screen release to pre-empt the rebanning. The plot revolves around a shy school teacher who meets and falls for a pretty young woman. The next day he realises that she is a pupil in his school. Nevertheless, they continue their relationship, which leads to one tragic consequence after the other. Note: the film is shot in monochrome.
