Set in India in 1953, although based on a short story by the American writer O. Henry. An archeologist arrives in a small town to work, and develops a relationship with a shy young woman. The day before he is due to leave, she reveals her feelings, and a marriage is agreed. However she then discovers something startling about him, calls off the wedding, and becomes reclusive. Some time later, he arrives back under extraordinary circumstances. In Hindi language with English subtitles.
