Lawless is the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers: bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. In this epic gangster tale, the loyalty of three brothers is put to the test against the backdrop of the nation's most notorious crime wave. Their main problem is the ruthless out-of-town agent who comes to investigate their activities. Inbetween all the violent actions, they still find some time for romance too.

The panel agreed that a 16 DLNV is appropriate for this film because of the way they were treated. The classifiable elements have strong impact with language, violence and drugs occuring frequently. Nudity is infrequent but the impact is strong.
