An aging, alcoholic, widowed and disabled (that should cover all the bases) writer takes a vacation next to a lake, to try and pull his life together. He has lost the will to live or to write. As time goes by, he befriends the family next door: a single mom and her daughters. As he gets to know them and the other locals better, he finds himself once again getting direction in his life ... until his holiday ends and it's time to leave ...
