Set in 1874, a young English teacher is hired by a reform-minded headmaster at a strictly-run German school for boys, in order to revitalise their education. The boys are very prejudiced against England, and reluctant to learn the language. In desperation, the teacher decides to introduce football as a means to an end. This meets with a lot of opposition from the parents and powers that be, but then the boys decide to express their opinion on the matter.... In German and English with English subtitles.
