Joyful Noise

Set in a small Southern USA town, a racially-mixed church has an major problem when their choir director dies. Two women, one white and one black, both want the job, and when the 'wrong' one gets it, the scene is set for a vicious catfight, which remains mostly verbal. Complicating matters is the blooming romance between the daughter of one of women, and the nephew of the other. The critics were generally underwhelmed.
