Set in a 19th century hotel in Ireland, this is a character study of a desperate and fearful woman. In order to survive, she has passed herself off as a man so that she could get a job. For the past 30 years, she's been a waiter at a hotel, and managed to avoid detection. One day she is forced to share a room with a guest, which provides its own surprise, giving her hope for a different and better life. However her best efforts seem doomed to failure.
