A heist film masquerading as a suicide thriller. An ex-cop is awaiting trail for stealing a diamond. While out to attend dad's funeral, he escapes, makes his way to a hotel, and climbs out onto a ledge, 21 floors up. That attracts the expected attention, as a pretty negotiator tries to talk him down while the SWAT guys get ready to do their thing. Meanwhile, across the street, his brother is busy trying to break into a diamond dealer's safe to get evidence that he was framed. The plotlines come together in the dramatic finale, which has been described as a let-down.
