This film examines the issue of illegal immigrants in America. We experience their lives through a hard-working gardener, and his American-born teenage son. The son is dabbling with joining the street gangs, while dad is working like crazy to give his son a better life. Things look up when he buys a truck and tools to expand his business. However the truck is stolen, and he and his son go in search of the thief. This turns into a major education for the boy.
