Larry Crowne

Larry Crowne
A post-middle-age Everyman has his world turned upside down when he is retrenched. The 'reason' given is that he does not have a college degree, so he decides, despite his age, to start attending college. He hooks up with the usual bunch of bizarre people who populate such comedies, and manages to hit it off with his Public Speaking teacher, who is having relationship issues with her husband. One thing leads to another, and he comes to realise that getting fired may have been the best thing to ever happen to him.
