A struggling cartoonist falls in love with the daughter of a businessman, for whom he had had deigned a mascot. She eventually returns his love, but since her father hates artists, he forbids their wedding. She persuades dad to hire the artist as the MD of his company for three months, in which he has to make a profit. If he does, the wedding can go ahead. Company politics come into play and the artist fails, but eventually his dream of becoming a cartoon strip-writer is realised when a newspaper decides to publish his cartoon.
