Fast & Furious 5: Rio Heist

Fast Five
The dream team is back together again, with Diesel and Walker reprising their roles from the first instalment of this popular series. After being sprung from prison, the buddies head to Rio de Janeiro to tackle a local drug lord. In particular, they're after US$ 100 million secreted in a safe, and to get it, they're going to have to battle the gangsters as well as the FBI. Expect plenty of high action, hot cars, and hot women. Even the critics switched their brains off and enjoyed it.

15
Chicago Sunday Times
Roger Ebert quote iconThe movie is made of sheer, preposterous and nonstop impossible action, muscular macho guys, hot chicks and platoons of bad guys who are eliminated by the dozens while the leading characters escape certain death so easily, it gets to be a habit.

ReelViews
James Berardinelli quote iconWhatever the reason, Fast Five satisfies on a visual and visceral level while leaving the intellectual one cold and shriveled and starving. At least it's not pretentious.
