After her success with the Moonlight series, the director tries the same approach updating the classic fairytale for a generation of teens in love with hunky werewolves. The wolf from Little Red Riding Hood is now a werewolf, and our heroine is no longer Little, but fully grown and in love with a woodcutter (yes, THAT woodcutter). Problem is that mom and pop want to marry her off to another rich young man, as wooden as the woodcutter. The village has been plagued since time immemorial by a werewolf, and Red Riding Hood takes it upon herself to deal with this problem.

A dark, shadowy movie set in medieval times which deals with fear and suspicion when a village is under attack by a werewolf. Lots of threat and menace.
