A recently-fired TV producer stumbled into a new job producing a weak morning TV news show. She decides to revitalize the show by bringing on a legendary TV anchor. Unfortunately, he refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts, let alone work with his new co-host, a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality, who is more than happy covering trivia. As they clash, first behind the scenes and then on the air, the producer's blossoming love affair with a fellow producer begins to unravel. And soon she is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself.
