In some ways Bollywood's take on ''The Sea Inside''. A successful stage magician has spent the last fourteen years of his life confined to a wheel chair, due to a spinal injury. He and his nurse are in love. However he has had enough of the suffering, and decides to petition the courts for the right to end his life. This causes considerable upheaval for everyone concerned, and things get even more complicated when a young man arrives determined to learn magic from the master.
