Chicago Sunday Times
Roger Ebert quote iconEat Pray Love is shameless wish-fulfillment, a Harlequin novel crossed with a mystic travelogue, and it mercifully reverses the life chronology of many people, which is Love Pray Eat.
10
eye Weekly
Chandler Levack quote iconHere’s a story that understands that one can only be a tourist in their own life for so long before it’s time to put down roots and come home.
10
ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconIt probably should have been titled Eat Pray Love Sleep as it becomes increasingly difficult to fight off the latter while watching it.

Tomatometer quote iconThe scenery is nice to look at, and Julia Roberts is as luminous as ever, but without the spiritual and emotional weight of the book that inspired it, Eat Pray Love is too shallow to resonate.
