What the Critics say

Box Office
Pam Grady quote iconIn his next 'reincarnation,' may he enjoy a better writer and director
5
Chicago Sunday Times
Roger Ebert quote iconThe Last Airbender is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented. The laws of chance suggest that something should have gone right. Not here. It puts a nail in the coffin of low-rent 3D.
3
eye Weekly
Stuart Berman quote iconShyamalan’s first foray into children’s fantasy storytelling is every bit as portentous and preachy as anything in his downward-spiraling filmography.

Tomatometer quote iconDespite flashy special effects, The Last Airbender squanders the potential of its popular source material on an incomprehensible plot, laughable dialogue, and a joyless sense of detachment.
