Terry Gilliam's imagination ran rioter than normal when Heath Ledger died halfway through this movie. Roping in some famous buddies, the filming went on, leading to some confused viewers at the end. The story is basically about the aged Doctor Parnassus, who made a deal with the devil regarding his sexy young daughter, and who is now fast approaching her sixteenth birthday. Help (possibly) arrives when they rescue a man hanging from a bridge, who happens to have a somewhat magical talent, but is anyone able to succesfully outwit the devil?
