Based on a long-running comic character, this film is aimed squarely at the little ones. Marmaduke is a great dane dog, who moves with his family to California. After a misunderstanding, he starts hanging out with the local dogs, in a new-kid-in-school setup. Foolishly falling for the Top Dog's gal while ignoring the gold in front of him, he and his family have lots of adventures before things are resolved.
