It's a strange strange world we live in, Master Jack...
Back in the 1950s, at the height of the apartheid era, two white Afrikaner parents gave birth to a coloured girl. Luckily science at the time was sufficiently advanced to be able to explain this, and prevent the mother landing in jail. The parents tried to raise the daughter as a white, which presented many problems with the law and community. Later, as a teen, she had trouble finding her identity, a situation which became much worse when she fell in love with a black man. Based on a true story, and winner of multiple awards.
