The Visitor

Connection is everything

A widowed professor is forced to go to New York to present a paper. He goes to his spare New York apartment, only to discover a squatter couple living there. He initially lets them leave, then allows them to stay. A friendship develops, which becomes personal when he becomes involved in the deportation case involving his new friend. Along the way, he once again discovers how to feel, which he has not done since his wife died.
