This award-winning Romanian movie is set during the dark days of the Soviet empire. Abortion was illegal, but many young women still had backstreet abortions, often dying in the process. This film follows one young woman and her friend over 12 hours, as they arrange an abortion in a hotel room. The man who agrees to help them out changes his price and demands sexual favours once he has them under his control. Then there is the problem of disposing of the remains ....
