Confessions of a Shopaholic

All she ever wanted was a little credit...

Confessions of a Shopaholic
The setup for this rom-com is a little convoluted, but our sassy heroine is an aspiring fashion writer with a serious shopping problem. Unable to get her ideal job, she decides on an indirect route via a different publication. Meanwhile the new editor of a financial publication decides to shake things up and hire different voices to the norm. This solves both their immediate problems, but leads to another: the unexpected (!) romance. Meanwhile her previous shopping expeditions have left her deep in debt, and she has to juggle her new career, romance and the debt collectors all at once.

Kate Carraway quote iconFisher is hugely adorable and charismatic, handling the silly physical comedy as well as the emotional arc. It's just unfortunate that she's never really allowed to dig in.

Peter Travers quote iconConfessions is no more than a painless time-waster. But the beguiling Fisher is well worth the investment.
