Loosely based on a tale from Hindi mythology yet in a modern context, this remake of a Malaysian movie revolves around a simple village barber. His business is suffering because he has not kept up with modern trends. Luck smiles on him when a famous film star, who just happened to be an old school friend of the barber, decides to make a movie in the village. As news of his friendship with the star spreads, so does his status increase. However, he is afraid of meeting with the star, in case he is not recognised, and so people begin to think he lied about knowing him. Perhaps fortune will smile on him one more time.
