Disney's big holiday release is out in two versions: normal 2D and also 3D in selected cinemas. This is the 2D version. Our hero is a dog, who is the star of a television series in which he has super powers. Being a dog, he thinks his powers are real. In one episode, his girl owner is kidnapped, and Bolt escapes from the studio to try and rescue her. He ends up being shipped from Hollywood to New York, and then tries to find his way back. He can't understand why he has lost his superpowers, but ropes in a cat and a hamster to help him get back home.
