This is a dance movie, with a plotline by the book, and not too far removed from Coyote Ugly either. A young woman decides she has no future running the family garage in a small town, and heads for Chicago to audition at a prestigious dance school. The audition goes badly, but luckily she finds a job at a bar. When the opportunity arises, she becomes a dancer there, as well as getting off with the DJ. She develops a new style of dance which eventually brings her success.
