Set back in the 1970s world of American Basketball, as two rival leagues were consolidating into one. Our hero owns a struggling team, stone last in their league. Determined to make it into the new league, he wangles a new player close to retirement to revive his team. This player brings some baggage in the form of a distracting former girlfriend. Although the film would like to be a comedy, it plays more like a standard sports underdog movie, and failed to impress the critics.
