Based on a true story from actress Elizabeth Shue, who plays the mom, this is the tale of a talented young girl's fight to join a boys soccer team. Her elder brother was the star of the team, until his unfortunate demise. Our heroine also had a knack for soccer, and desperately wanted to join the team, but hardly anyone else thought it was a good idea. With her mom's suport, she continued to try, eventually winning enough support to earn a place. However not all the boys took to the idea, and she had to earn their respect with her skill as well.
