A shy young man spends all his time alone with his computer. One day, he learns about made-to-order sex dolls, and duly orders an anatomically perfect one made to his specifications. He puts her in a wheelchair, and introduces her as his girlfriend. The kindly townsfolk, aware of his situation, humour him. He is persuaded to take the girlfriend for counselling, in reality so that he can be counselled. As his healing progresses, the girlfriend starts to have an effect on other people around her too.
