Rendition is the CIA's practice of whisking suspects via airplane to compliant countries overseas, where the suspect is interrogated without the niceties of the American judicial system on his side. Things get bloody. This film takes a look at the issue, via three storylines. The core plot revolves around a Moslem American, tenuously linked to a real terrorist. The CIA arrest him and whip him off to north Africa, for question time. His pregnant wife back home does her nut trying to find out what happened, while the CIA denies knowledge and deals with internal politics over the issue. Meanwhile a young Moslem girl is involved in a non-approved love affair, which may lead to a catalytic event. Reviews have been mixed.
