The beloved childrens' detective makes it to the big screen at last. Dad has to move to Los Angeles for business reasons, and Nancy reluctantly goes with. Once there, she decides to investigate the case of a previous owner of the house, a murdered film star. She's soon making waves and making friends, but someone doesn't want her to find out the truth, and they're prepared to resort to murder...
