This film takes a look at William Wilberforce, the English parliamentarian responsible for getting slavery abolished in the British Empire. He had an uphill battle against powerful men, but luckily also had some heavy hitters in his corner. Eventually the sense of what he was saying got through, and the British changed their laws, leading over time to the worldwide abolition of slavery.
