Based on a true story, this film takes a look at a squadron of fighter pilots in France during World War I. They were all foreign, mostly American, and keen for some action. War being war, of course not everything goes according to plan and many of them get a one way ticket. Throw in a romantic subplot (French farm girls can be so willing) and you have all the elements for a boys-own adventure yarn.
