Set amongst the Syrian immigrant population in Canada, this film takes a look at the problems created when a 40 year old Moslem woman, never married, falls for a divorced Canadian carpenter. Her efforts to conceal the romance from her family eventually fail, and all concerned are forced to deal with the reality of the situation.
