This looks like a nice place for a bit of soccer...
This movie takes a look at a remarkable event which occured during World War I. On Christmas Eve 1914, soldiers from opposing Allied and German sides, who had been bombarding each other day and night from trenches barely 100 metres apart, called an informal truce, and had a bit of a joint Christmas meal. They even played a game of soccer and got to know each other a little. The next day, it was back to business as usual. In English, French and German, with English subtitles.
