An eccentric Australian construction worker is having problems with his girlfriend. When she ruins his camping holiday, he gets depressed, and hooks a bunch of hot air balloons to a deckchair. Soon he is airborn, drifting aimlessly in the sky. He eventually lands in a small town, where he begins a new life with a new woman. His ex, meanwhile, is living the high life.
