Anne Hathaway stars in yet another ugly-duckling-to-beautiful-swan tale, this time set in the world of fashion. She's a gawky wanna-be journalist who lands a job as second assistant to the tyrannical editor of a famous fashion magazine. Enduring constant abuse, she sticks it out, surprising everyone in the process. During this time she transitions to someone who looks as if she belongs in the fashion industry, but this has unexpected repercussions for her social and love life.
