Lady in the Water

M. Night Shyamalan's latest offering has failed to impress the critics. The titular lady in the water is a sea nymph who lives in a parallel universe. She has been sent to guide one human to enlightenment, after which she must return. There's a baddie after her blood, and it's up to her new friend, a building superintendent, and his friends, to protect her and help her find her way back.
