The Weitz brothers turn a scathing eye on the American way of life, in essence comparing their elections to the TV show ''Idols''. President Bush and Simon Cowell are the main targets of this satire, which has the White House booking the President onto Idols as a judge. This meshes nicely with the plan by the show's snotty producer, to arrange a three-way showdown between a Christian, Moslem and Jew for the final.
