This multi-award winning Korean film takes a look at life, through the eyes of a Buddhist monk. He starts out as a young boy, living wih an older monk alone on a boat in the middle of a lake. As the seasons progress, so he ages, to a young man finding love, to a mature and angry man. In the final scenes he has become an old man, with his own young student to teach. In Korean language with English subtitles, although dialogue is sparse.
